Billy Sothern Death – Billy Sothern, a passionate capital defense attorney and essayist who wrote of sorrow and government failure following Hurricane Katrina while representing some of New Orleans’ most notorious criminals, passed away on Friday. He was 45.
Billy Sothern passed away at home in Massachusetts, where he’d lately relocated but kept up his job in the Louisiana courts. The cause of death was not disclosed by family members.
