The person who passed away in a hospital on Monday as a result of a kitesurfing accident on Saturday in Marshall County has been named as Dr. Douglas Tolle of Bremen, Indiana.
After perhaps experiencing a medical episode after a kitesurfing accident in Michigan City on Saturday, Doug Tolle, 56, passed away in a hospital on Monday.
Around 6:30 p.m., Tolle was having a kitesurfing instruction close to Washington Park Beach on Lake Michigan. On Saturday, for an unforeseen cause, he started to struggle in the water.
When Tolle was pulled from the water, he was not conscious. He received CRP on the pier, and after that, he was sent in critical condition to a nearby hospital.
At the hospital, Tolle, of Bremen Family Dentistry, was declared deceased.
