Eileen Marie Mullins Halcomb Death – We are deeply saddened to report the passing of Eileen Marie Mullins Halcomb, our mother, wife, and friend. On August 21, 1969, Eileen was born to Carolyn Lynelle and Horace Monroe Mullins. On October 8, 2022, she quietly passed into eternity, joining her mother, father, and oldest daughter, Brandi.
Brittany, Bridget, and Brett all benefited from Eileen’s excellent and compassionate parenting. She was a steadfast cheerleader, safe haven, and source of happiness. She loved to get the whole family together and celebrated every occasion by being close to them. She always gave unconditional love, humor, and solace, and those things will always be missed.
In addition, Eileen was a loving wife, closest friend, and soulmate to Chris. While they connected by their shared experiences when they first met in 2015, Chris was drawn to her enormous heart and stunning brown eyes. She continually taught Chris to be patient and to love with all of his heart. Eileen had three more children as a result of this unity: Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Matthew. She was the link that brought two families together and loved them as if they were her own.
Eileen devoted her adult life to preserving the history of her family’s business, Lynelle’s Cake Decorating. Since its founding by her mother Carolyn (Lynelle) in 1974, the company has played a significant role in Huntsville’s cake designing and baking communities. With her cakes, lessons, and mentorship, she had a beneficial influence on a great deal of clients and students. She was incredibly creative and thought that everyone had that same capacity. She served as everyone’s inspiration and ally.
Eileen requested that there be no memorial service and that her ashes be scattered. Any cards and flowers should be given to Lynelle’s Cake Decorating, per the family’s wish. Please think about giving to A New Leash on Life in her honor in place of flowers.
