Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed that Gabriel Jesus is now running on the outdoor pitches, as he continues his recovery.
Jesus is yet to play for the Gunners since he injured his knee at the World Cup in December.
Although Arteta admits the player is “doing really well”, he has refused to rush his return.
“Gabi is doing really well. He’s been outside a little bit, he’s still in the early stages.
“He keeps pushing everybody every single day but we need to respect some timelines and processes but he’s doing really well,” Arteta told reporters on Friday.
When asked if there is a return date set, he replied: “Not yet, it’s still too far from that.”
Arsenal takes on Brentford on Saturday, as they seek to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Everton.
