Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has sarcastically reacted to Manchester City being charged with breaking the English Premier League’s financial rules.
The former England defender stated this in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday.
Carragher tweeted: “This can’t be right, Man City bring in more commercial revenue than Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Man Utd & Liverpool.”
Man City face possible expulsion from the Premier League or a points deduction.
The Citizens are alleged to have breached rules requiring provision “in utmost good faith” of “accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position.”
