On Friday, October 14, 2022, Harold E. “Gene” Eddins reportedly passed dead suddenly, according to an online obituary. The deceased’s cause of death, however, was not made public.
Fire Equipment Operator Harold E. “Gene” Eddins was killed in a car accident while not working.
In October 2010, FEO Eddins was employed as a firefighter/paramedic. He worked for the department for 12 years and held the positions of Fire Inspector and Fire Equipment Operator before being promoted in 2020. His work encompassed a more than 30-year dedication to public safety.
