Josée Savaria Death – We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our cherished friend and fellow artist Josée Savaria. Last night at the Southlake Regional Health Center, Josée passed away quietly. We shall miss her joy and enthusiasm for the arts, but her light will live on in her paintings.
She was genuinely a vibrant, happy, and kind lady whose love of life and character will live on for a very long time. She is leaving behind beautiful artwork that will live on. I still find it hard to believe that and I’m very sorry for her loss. She will be sorely missed.
Since the NGA was founded, Josée has made immeasurable contributions to the Newmarket art scene. Her tremendous professionalism and compassionate heart have served as a foundation for 15 years as she has mentored other local artists.
Her family and loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers.
