Two males were detained by Durham police in connection with a shooting that occurred at a mini-mart in Durham on Friday night and left one woman dead.
On Saturday, police detained Jaquez Reddick, 23, and Tracy Crawford, 18, and charged them with first-degree murder.
Around 9:00 p.m., officers were called to the Royals Mini Mart on Cheek Road and Hardee Street in response to reports of a person suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers discovered Karizma Mebane, 21, who had been shot when they arrived. She was brought to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
According to the police, the shooting does not seem to be random.
