Leah Fielder Death – On Friday, October 7, 2022, Miss Leah Elisabeth Fielder, 17, of Duck Hill, passed away. Mark and Beth Marter Fielder welcomed her into the world on March 18, 2005 in Grenada. At Kirk Academy, Leah was a rising senior who excelled academically and was proud to have been admitted to the National Honor Society. She had previously served on the student council and as a class officer and was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Leah like being outside and took advantage of any chance to go hunting and fishing. She belonged to Elliott Baptist Church, where she took part in the Daughters of the Kingdom Bible Study class and liked singing in the youth choir.
Pastor Michael Payton will preside over the funeral ceremonies on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Grenada’s Emmanuel Baptist Church. Following, there will be a burial at the Elliott Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will host visitors at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Ceremony on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at Emmanuel Baptist Church one hour before the service on Monday.
Her grandparents, Steve and Mary Jo Marter of Duck Hill and Billy Dean and Christine Fielder of Coffeeville, are also living. She is also survived by her parents, Mark and Beth Fielder of Duck Hill; brother, Lance Fielder of Duck Hill.

The senior class of Kirk Academy will be holding a candle-light vigil to honor and pray for Leah Fielder and Kaycie Clements tonight at 6:30 in front of the high school building. We would like to invite all students, faculty, family, and friends to join us.

My heart is broken tonight! 💔 Leah Fielder was a precious young lady! Had the heart and desire to serve the Lord! No doubt she is with her Lord and Savior tonight! She was so fun to be around and was so encouraging. She will never know how much she encouraged Emily Taylor Horton and I in so many ways!
