The rider killed in a deadly motorbike collision in Riverside County has been named as Nicholas Almendarez of Fallbrook, California.
Tuesday morning in Temecula, a single-vehicle motorbike accident claimed the life of 43-year-old Almendarez.
Around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Almendarez was driving a BMW R1200C motorbike on Interstate 15 close to the Temecula Parkway onramp when, for an unknown cause, the motorcycle abruptly braked, skidded sideways, and collided with a steel guardrail.
Almendarez was taken to a local hospital, where he was later identified as having suffered blunt force trauma and had died.
