On Sunday, October 9, 2022, Riley James Horne, 17, of Gettysburg, passed away.
He was the son of Russell A. Mosher and Tracy M. Horne-Mosher, and was born on August 4, 2005, in Fairfax, Virginia.
Riley played lacrosse as a senior for the Gettysburg High School squad. He was close to earning his Eagle Scout Award and was a committed member of the Boy Scouts. He was an avid automotive enthusiast who adored his BMW.
He was a people person who was always willing to offer assistance or spread joy. He had a terrific sense of humor and was quite humorous. He was always with his mother, always working with her on projects, and always watching out for her. She was both his buddy and confidante. Riley loved spending time with his pals and had a soft heart. He had a heart for people and never missed a chance to lend a hand.
Riley is survived by his grandparents Ron and Barbara Mosher and Jim and Rita Horne in addition to his parents.
Riley’s funeral will be place at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022. Pastor Todd McCauslin will officiate. On Thursday, October 13, 2022, the family will host friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
