The choice of the presidential candidate to support in the State’s general election of 2023 would soon be finalized, according to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
He stated that the electorate of Rivers, who had experienced exemplary government under his watch and were already eager to repay the favor, would be informed of which presidential candidate to support when the decision was made.
On Tuesday, Wike gave a speech during the opening of the Rukpokwu-Rumuapu-Izo-Ogbodo Igwuruta Link Road in the Rumuapu village of the State’s Obio-Akpor local government area.
The governor said that as a function of his administration’s performance and supply of essential infrastructure, Rivers residents have already returned to the Peoples Democratic Party, which is currently in power (PDP).
Then he urged the electorate to support only PDP candidates for governor as well as for the National Assembly and State Assembly in the State.
