William Chepkut Death – William Chepkut, a former member of the Ainabkoi Parliament, is dead.
The former lawmaker passed away on October 8, 2022, a Saturday. His relatives concurred.
According to early accounts, the lawmaker collapsed at home and needed emergency care, so he was taken to a hospital in Nairobi.
The politician was declared dead at a Parklands clinic after vain attempts to revive him failed.
Chepkut spent two months in the hospital in 2021 as a result of a July 2021 fall inside a city hotel.
“I passed out and was taken to the hospital where I was treated and released. I dismissed it and went back home before going to Uganda to perform other obligations.
Chepkut described how he had two more accidents at the same time that had a profound impact on him.
From 2017 through 2022, Chepkut represented the district as an independent candidate.
The late Nichola Biwott’s personal assistant, Chepkut, lost to UDA’s Samuel Chepkong’a in 2022.
Compared to Chepkut’s 13,000 votes, the incumbent received more than 26,000 votes.
Since leaving the legislature, Chepkut has kept a quiet profile and frequently tweets about governmental matters.
His most recent tweet, from yesterday, Friday, October 7, congratulated Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and Transport CS nominee Kipchumba Murkomen on their new positions in the administration.
